Sometimes in WM5 (but also in WM6, I’m sure) the messaging system stops working. You cannot even open the inbox, or send an SMS, nothing.
If you find yourself in this situation… try this:
- open your storage card file system
- look for a folder named Inbox.mst12345678 (the number here may change)
- delete it and reboot your device.
